Brian C. Fugate, 46, was tragically taken from his family and friends on Sept. 18, 2003. Brian was born Sept. 22, 1956 in Emo, Ont. He was raised in Ontario until he was 10 and then moved to Minnesota, where he graduated from Anoka Senior High School. Brian proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years. He then was a successful Systems Application Engineer, employed at Johnson Controls of Minneapolis, Mn. Brian loved his family, his Harley, and the outdoors. He loved life. Brian is survived by his loving companion, Vicki; sons, Brian and Jason; his former wife and mother of his two children, Julie; and parents, Dennis (Pat) Fugate, and Arlene (Ted) Allan of Fort Frances, Ont. Also surviving are his siblings, Gloria, Debbie, Carl, Sherri, Arlyce, Tom, and Brad; and many other extended family members and friends, along with his dogs, Mandy and Millie. A celebration of his life was held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Roseville Memorial Chapel (2245 N. Hamline Ave.), with an inurnment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
