Classmates
"I think if I've learned anything about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or tired, don't take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together. Powerful stuff."

What is the greatest impact you have had, as you colored your world?: The greatest achievement I have had in this world has been marrying my High School sweetheart, Linda Nordquist (AHS class of '76) thirty eight years ago. Together we have two children: Michael (28) and Megan (26) who I work with daily in our Businesses. I have also been very privileged (through our Company) to have the ability to help others through a variety of different charities that include supporting many Adoption Agencies in the State of Minnesota which help find children forever families. We also help fund programs to assist in the fight against cancer and help to find a cure. I give back because I feel so blessed and I believe it is our responsibility to have an impact in life through helping others however we are able. |

Comment:
After 32 years in public education (mostly in administration) and a couple with a non-profit organization, I am currently semi-retired doing some consulting work. My spouse, Barb Johnston (now Scottston) grew up in the historic Woodbury house on Ferry Street and also graduated from Anoka High School. Barb was in banking for 20 plus years then taught for the U of M. We now own a very large farm in the beautiful bluffs of SE MN where we grow organic veggies, have some crop land, raise our own beef cattle, take care of additional beef cattle, and do timberstand management. We have about 20 miles of ATV and horse trails through our bluffs, a trout stream, and horse facilities we love to share with family and friends (both old and new) -- Plus we have NO, yes No Mosquitoes. Although Barb no longer jumps competitively, she still gives horse lessons in one of our arenas. I still hope to come to the reunion but it may depend on the farm schedule. |
